Wow Jenni, sounds interesting! I've worked in many schools with ELL students, but none with the concentration you've described. I'm wondering if/how your teachers' challenges are unique because of this.
Not so middle of the road. And in fact I relate to your point about homogeneous populations. I taught at a school in the highest crime neighborhood of Chicago, but the student population was 100% African American, so we didn't have the tension in the school that I later experienced at schools in "better" neighborhoods where the student population was much more diverse. In the end, though, kids are kids and teaching is teaching, right?
