Hi, I am an elementary principal in Washington state and working on my dissertation. This coming year I will be working closely with a TOSA in Admin who is coordinating the 8 coaches in our district. We have one full time coach for each elementary school.

We just started a coaching program in Sumner County, Tennessee... We are interested in any ideas for how to evaluate the success of our program... any good instruments out there for pre-post-coaching surveying, etc?

I work for Campbellsville University in Kentucky as a mentor for coaches . Campbellsville has a grant that partners with OSEP, KDE and the University. Our goal is to create a cadre of school based coaches for the alternative/certified special education teachers that are being hired. There are 35 districts in this grant. I am retired from teaching and director of special education. I taught using content enhancement and Learning Strategies, but I am new to coachingt.

I am the Instructional Coach Coordinator for Geary County Schools in Junction City, Kansas. We have 17 elementary coaches and 3 secondary coaches. My role is to provide support and staff development for all of the coaches. Our coaching program is evolving from coaches that were spending quite a bit of time working with data and small groups of students to a program where the coaches are working just with teachers. Change is hard!!!

We just kicked off our 2nd year of Instructional Coaching with San Francisco Unified! 34 Instructional Coaches, 26 Administrators and 8 new Mentor Coaches to follow up with our IC's back at their school sites. WOW. Our coaches and staff are so excited. This year we are focusing on getting our IC's reliable to the 7 Partnership Principles. Change is hard - and we have a highly committed group of teacher leaders to support the process.

Hello! I am the Coordinator for Secondary Literacy Coaches for Wake County Public School in NC. We currently have 12 LC in 17 schools all on the secondary level (Middle/High School) and we are looking to expand! My role is to provide support and professional development for all the coaches. This year we are focusing on structuring the program and helping coaches become embedded into their schools. I am so excited to work with such a motivated group of teachers, and am looking forward to gleaning from those of you who have gone before me in this group!

Good morning!  I work in Millard Public Schools in Omaha, NE.  We are in our 1st year of implementation and I am currently working with 3 teachers and will work with 9 next semester.  Our implementation begins with district level coaches and in a 'gradual release' model we bring along side-by-side building level coaches.  The building level coaches will learn the "craft" of coaching by shadowing the district coach.  We are talking small steps in our efforts to eventually have a systemic approach to instructional coaching.
