Permalink Reply by Jodie Pyman on January 7, 2012 at 8:30pm I have used the same process as Deanna, with teachers who are new to coaching and are reluctant to be filmed. Everything was done in the same way, however the teacher then watched the film on their own and self reflected prior to our meeting. I used a Flip Camera on a mini tripod and downloaded the file to a shared (with private settings) space. That way both of us accessed the file easily prior to meeting together. Very effective.

Permalink Reply by LaChawn Smith on July 2, 2011 at 3:57pm I have heard that Flip Cameras are no longer available. Do you know if this is the case and if so what are you now using.
Hi LaChawn,
Yes, it's true, Cisco has discontinued making Flip Cameras. Our friends at Stratepedia recently posted some alternatives for Flip Cameras at: http://blog.stratepedia.org/2011/04/13/bye-bye-flip-4-alternatives-...

Permalink Reply by Kim Rice on November 21, 2012 at 9:17am Our district has decided to purchase an iPod for me to use to videotape the teachers I am working with currently. I have not received the device yet, so cannot speak to the effectiveness of it. I currently use a Flip and love the easiness of downloading video to the teacher's computer before I leave his/her classroom. Hoping the iPod works as well!
Permalink Reply by Peter Bertelsen on May 2, 2012 at 2:04pm I am looking for some sample district policies regarding the use of video for professional learning.
Does anyone have a school or district policy that they could share to help us get started?
